7 Lake Nona West Stores Opening This Summer (And When to Expect Them)

The wait is almost over. After more than a year of construction, Lake Nona West is welcoming its first shoppers this month. Tavistock Development Group’s 405,000-square-foot open-air lifestyle center on Lake Nona Boulevard has been one of the most anticipated projects in the area, and a wave of openings is set to roll through summer and into 2027.

Tavistock gave the media a first look on April 28, and the lineup is impressive. Here’s your complete guide to what’s coming and when.

First Stores Opening Soon

Homesense gets the party started in mid-May with its 25,000-square-foot home decor superstore. Barnes & Noble follows in mid-June, and Total Wine & More is expected to open about a week after that. July is when things really get going. That’s when the center’s anchor store arrives: a massive 150,000-square-foot Target Superstore, opening alongside Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy. Nordstrom Rack is slated to round out the summer in August.

New Additions Just Announced

Four new tenants were revealed at the April 28 tour, adding another 8,078 square feet to the already packed lineup. Drybar, the cult-favorite blowout salon, is joining the mix along with Just Salad, a fast-casual concept focused on health-forward eating. Gloss Nail Co., a female-owned studio specializing in natural nail care and Bio Sculpture Gel, is also on the list, as is Kilwins Ice Cream, known for its handcrafted chocolates and premium scoops.

Still to come: Cañonita, a high-end Mexican restaurant from Tavistock Restaurant Collection, and a breakfast and lunch concept with just one other location in the entire country. More announcements are expected soon on that one.

More Than a Shopping Center

Tavistock VP Jessi Blakley is quick to point out that the experience here goes beyond retail. Wide streets, bike lanes, roundabouts, elevated landscaping, and 20 Mercedes-Benz Level 3 EV charging stations all work together to create something that feels genuinely different from the shopping centers most of us are used to.

A public art program led by Miami-based studio Chalk & Brush is bringing 30 murals to the property, each one rooted in Lake Nona’s character and natural landscape. A large “Greetings from Lake Nona West” mural is already visible from Lake Nona Boulevard, and an inner courtyard is getting a “Wish You Were Here” wall designed to be the community’s next great photo moment.

“When you come to Lake Nona, it is apparent when you’re in Lake Nona,” Blakley said.

Built on 54 acres just southeast of Boggy Creek Road and SR-417, Lake Nona West is designed to be the kind of place you come back to several times a week, whether you’re grabbing dinner, picking up a new book, or just taking a walk through the common spaces.
