Pixon — Lake Nona’s Newest Multifamily Development — Set to Break Ground

Features 6 micro units, Tesla ride share, Bluetooth door entry, 3D printer and other sophisticated amenities for the next-generation community

Orlando, Fla.; June 29, 2017Tavistock Development Company, a diversified real estate firm owned by Tavistock Group, announced today that construction is set to begin in September on Lake Nona’s fourth multifamily project, newly minted as Pixon. Thoughtfully located within walking distance to the growing Lake Nona Town Center at the southeast intersection of Tavistock Lakes Boulevard and Lake Nona Boulevard, Pixon is an urban-inspired, 201-unit modern flat community featuring an impressive list of innovative community conveniences including a Tesla ride share program and concierge delivery system, 32,500 SF of ground floor retail and the Orlando market’s first micro-apartment units.

Developed by Tavistock Development Co., Balfour Beatty Construction was recently named general contractor of Pixon and plans to break ground in September once building permits are finalized in the City of Orlando. Set to open in the Winter of 2018, SPM Property Management, which also manages Lake Nona’s Ariel, LandonHouse and WaterMark Apartment communities, expects to begin pre-leasing the micro-, one- and two-bedroom units in the Summer of 2018.

Designed by award-winning architecture firms Torti Gallas + Partners and M+A Architects, Pixon’s forward-thinking design aesthetic and sophisticated amenities will, yet again, raise the bar for apartment living within Tavistock’s master-designed Lake Nona, which remains the region’s fastest-growing community with more than $1 billion in its 36-month development pipeline.

The 4.25-acre, urban-inspired apartment community will debut an innovative ride share program with multiple onsite Tesla vehicles, encouraging an eco-friendly and neighborly transportation option, in addition to electric car charging stations and bicycle storage. Pixon’s main 11-story tower will connect to a three-story parking structure via an enclosed second-story walkway. The community will feature access controlled buildings and elevators, 24-hour concierge and valet, in addition to 24-hour express maintenance and valet trash service. Pixon is pet friendly and will be home to a designated pet spa and grooming area.

Situated within Lake Nona, the world’s most sophisticated wellness community as noted by the Global Wellness Institute, Pixon’s design and offerings are complementary with the community’s forward-thinking wellbeing initiatives.  The 24-hour gym features first-class equipment and on-demand fitness by Lake Nona Institute partner Technogym, who recently aligned with Lake Nona to create the first seamlessly connected fitness ecosystem in the U.S.
