The AdventHealth Lake Nona ER opened today, bringing world-class emergency services to southeast Orlando and allowing the organization to better serve residents in this fast-growing region.

The approximately 19,000-square-foot facility has 24 patient rooms (including two pediatric-friendly rooms to make ER visits less stressful for young patients); respiratory therapy; diagnostic imaging, including CT scans, X-ray, and ultrasound; access to a pharmacist 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and a full-service laboratory.

Virtual Grand Opening

The facility is staffed by a comprehensive clinical team including board-certified emergency physicians and emergency nurses.

Our state-of-the-art ER blends advanced medical services with compassionate care and features:

  • Board-certified emergency physicians
  • 24-hour observation medicine services
  • 24 patient rooms
  • Two pediatric-friendly rooms to make visits more comfortable for kids
  • Respiratory therapy
  • Diagnostic imaging, including computed tomography (CT) scans, X-rays and ultrasounds
  • A full-service laboratory

“We are excited to add this ER to our network of care across Central Florida,” said Jeff Villanueva, CEO of AdventHealth East Orlando and the AdventHealth Lake Nona ER. “The Lake Nona area is expanding quickly, and we are growing along with the community. This addition will help us continue to provide whole-person care in a setting that’s convenient for our community and close-to-home.”

This facility will complement AdventHealth’s existing footprint in Lake Nona, which includes an AdventHealth lab, AdventHealth Sports Med and Rehab, Centra Care and AdventHealth Medical Group practices including cardiology, imaging, diabetes and endocrinology, family medicine, general surgery, and sports and concussion medicine.

The ER is part of a larger effort to bring emergency care close-to-home for residents across Central Florida. AdventHealth opened ERs in Deltona, Waterford Lakes and Oviedo late last year. Additional ERs are planned for Kissimmee, Clermont, the Lake Buena Vista area and Port Orange. Health parks are also in development in Kissimmee, Clermont and Lake Nona.

The Lake Nona emergency room is located at the intersection of Lake Nona Boulevard and Narcoossee Road
