AdventHealth is building a new hospital in Lake Nona, and it just hit a big milestone. The structure has reached its full height at 10 stories, a moment builders call “topping out.” This is great news for our community as the project moves into the next phase.

Right next to the hospital, work is starting on a five-story medical office building focused on comprehensive cancer care. It will also include services for digestive health. Leaders at AdventHealth say these milestones show their commitment to bringing both inpatient and outpatient care to Lake Nona with a focus on the whole person.

Where it is

The hospital sits at 10999 Narcoossee Road. The campus will eventually add dining and retail, turning it into a place people can visit for more than medical care.

What it will offer

When it opens, the hospital plans to serve both local families and patients traveling from around the country. Services are expected to include:

  • Cardiology
  • Orthopedics
  • Labor and delivery
  • Gastroenterology
  • General surgery
  • Cancer care
  • Neurology
  • More specialties as the campus grows

The hospital is planned for 320 beds so it can expand over time as Lake Nona grows.

Women’s care updates

AdventHealth is expanding women’s services at the Gateway Building at Narcoossee Road and Tavistock Lakes Boulevard. Along with current care for high risk pregnancy and gynecological surgery, new practices in urogynecology and obstetrics are set to open on the same floor for easier access. These added services are expected to begin seeing patients later this year.

The Baby Place

The Baby Place at AdventHealth Lake Nona is planned to include:

  • Ten labor and delivery rooms
  • Three OB triage rooms
  • Two operating rooms for cesarean sections
  • Fifteen postpartum rooms

Timeline

  • Medical office building expected to open in August 2026
  • Hospital expected to open in November 2026

Lake Nona Social will keep you posted as the campus takes shape and opening dates get closer. If you have questions you would like us to ask AdventHealth, send them our way and we will include them in our next update.
