Lake Nona’s reputation as a hub for innovation and education just took another exciting leap forward. Junior Achievement of Central Florida (JACF) has officially unveiled plans for its new state-of-the-art experiential learning center, set to open in Fall 2026 at One Performance Plaza in Lake Nona Town Center. The 13,400-square-foot space will be named the Junior Achievement Eisner Family Dreamers Center, honoring a transformational lead gift from philanthropist and JACF Board Member Jesse Eisner.

This inspiring new facility will serve more than 30,000 students annually, delivering hands-on programs focused on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness—skills that are more essential than ever in preparing young people for the real world.
A Dream in Action: JA BizTown® Comes to Life in Lake Nona
The center’s flagship program will be JA BizTown®, a fully immersive simulated city where students step into real-world roles in business, government, and civic life. From running a business to managing a budget or participating in local government, students will develop practical, future-ready skills in a fun, engaging environment. It’s a bold response to the national call for education that goes beyond traditional academics: with 81% of employers now focusing on skills over degrees, and only 30% of Gen Z students feeling prepared for life after high school, this program couldn’t come at a better time.

A Community of Visionaries Behind the Mission
Jesse Eisner’s passion for youth empowerment and real-world education was a driving force behind this vision. “When young people are given the chance to build confidence and real-world skills, their potential is limitless,” said Eisner, who was inspired by the legacy of Pat Williams, the late co-founder of the Orlando Magic. His generous gift, along with support from The Lewis Foundation and Lake Nona, has made it possible to bring this dynamic vision to life.
“Lake Nona has always been a community rooted in education and innovation,” said Rasesh Thakkar, board member at the Lewis Foundation and senior managing director in Lake Nona. “Our partnership with Junior Achievement is a natural fit… this initiative will inspire and empower future generations in a meaningful, lasting way.”
The Dreamers Center’s location—within walking distance of Lake Nona’s iconic Wave Hotel and Performance Club—will make it a central, accessible destination for students across the region.

More Than a Classroom
Beyond BizTown®, the JA Eisner Family Dreamers Center will offer afterschool and summer programs designed to spark creativity, leadership, and problem-solving in today’s youth. It’s not just about learning—it’s about dreaming big and building the confidence to pursue those dreams.
“This facility represents an incredible investment in the future of our region,” said Karen Revels, President and CEO of JACF. “We are profoundly grateful to Jesse Eisner and his family, and to all our partners who believe in the mission of Junior Achievement.”
Stay tuned as construction and program development continue over the next year. The Dreamers Center is poised to become a cornerstone of Lake Nona’s growing legacy of innovation, opportunity, and community impact.
