Orlando Approves $18M Johnson & Johnson HPI Expansion in Lake Nona

The city of Orlando has issued a building permit to Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute to begin construction on its $18 million expansion in Lake Nona.

The permit, issued on Feb. 8, will kick-start new construction of a one-story performance training center, which will serve as the hub of the firm’s research and development for science-based high-performance energy management.

Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute conducts research and provides services for athletes and North American corporations related to mental and physical health.

The firm revealed its plans back in January when it was approved for Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund Program incentive package by the Orlando City Council.

The project will bring 25 positions with an average annual wage of $100,000 by Dec. 31, 2020.
