The 38th National Veterans Wheelchair Games is being held in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center from July 30-August 4. This is the third time the Games have been held in Florida and the first time in Orlando.


Hall of Fame NFL quarterback Brett Farve helped kick off the event where over 650 military Veterans who are wheelchair athletes will compete in 19 medal-award winning sporting events. Athletes such as pro-billiards player Charlie Williams, retired NFL player and college of Central Florida standout Clinton Hart, retired New York Giants Wide Receiver Ron Dixon, 2X NFL Pro Bowler and Miami Hurricane Brandon Meriweather, retired Orlando Magic Player Nick Anderson, and others will also join the events.


Tuesday, July 31: Quad Rugby 1 pm & 3 pm; Basketball 6:30 & 8:00 pm

Wednesday, August 1: Softball 1:30, 3:30, 6:30, & 8:00 pm)

Thursday, August 2: Slalom, 3 pm; Quad Rugby 6 pm & 8 pm-Bronze medal match

Friday, August 3: Powerlifting/Quad Weightlifting 1 pm; Swimming 1 pm; Softball 8 pm-Championship/Gold medal match

Saturday, August 4: Super G 9:30 am; Quad Rugby Championship 1 pm; Basketball Championship
