Have you participated in this year’s Magical Dining experience? If you’re not aware, from August 24 through September 30, Visit Orlando teams up with over 100 restaurants to offer three-course meals for prix-fixe meals for $35 where $1 from each meal is donated to Best Buddies and the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.

Magical Dining Month is a great time to get out and try restaurants that you may not have tried otherwise or even try other menu items at a place that you already go. Lauren and I were able to find few places we really enjoyed and also got some good recommendations for some spots to check out in the future.

Watch the vlog episodes below to see how our experiences went. Just remember…time is almost up!

1. Canvas Restaurant & Market

The Canvas restaurant menu features new American cuisine influenced by Florida’s Southern and Latin American roots. The item that stood out to us the most here was the Shrimp Mofongo. Oh…and don’t forget to ask for the crackers lol

Address: 13615 Sachs Avenue Orlando, FL 32827

2. Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen

Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen delivers a mix of elevated offerings created through small plates and an extensive bar menu. We really enjoyed their Guava and Goat Cheese Flatbread, Blue Crab and Artichoke Dip, Butterscotch Bread Pudding, and Banana Pudding.

Address: 6967 Lake Nona Boulevard Orlando, FL 32827

3. Texas de Brazil

At Texas de Brazil, expert carvers generously serve you unlimited amounts of sizzling beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage. Definitely bring your appetite with you when coming here. The food coma will be real!

Address: 5259 International Drive Suite F-1 Orlando, FL 32819

4. DoveCote Brasserie

DoveCote Brasserie offers New-age French-American Cuisine. Make sure you try their Dovecote Crème  Brulee!

“Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Unless he doesn't like sushi, then you also have to teach him to cook.” – Auren Hoffman . . ? Are you a sushi fan? . . . ? For @visitorlando Magical Dining Month, I’ve visited 3 Orlando sushi restaurants in 2 weeks and we have one more week to go. ? Yes! I’m a sushi fan. I love that each restaurant has been different and special in their own way showing that sushi and Japanese fusion is only limited by the chef’s imagination. . . . ? I was invited by Umi Japanese Fusion to check out their Magical Dining Menu and meet their new chef de cuisine. It was fun to discover new favorites in a restaurant we already love and the menu has such a wonderful variety of fresh seafood (both cooked and raw!) so there’s more to enjoy. . . . ? Food Network’s “Extreme Chef” season 2 winner Chef Terry French has partnered with Umi’s owners to bring his own creative culinary flair to this art gallery / museum-like Restaurant on Park Avenue. Together with sushi chef John Park, they are doing some fun things worthy of a visit to Winter Park. . . . ?? Scroll to see the Magical Dining Menu: 4 courses for $35, only available through 9/30. Plus they offer a wine or sake pairing to complement your dinner! (And don’t forget $1 per meal is donated to local charities @dsacentralflorida @cflhomeless ) . . ? Crunchy Hako: Osaka style sushi with spicy tuna, pickled cucumber, honey Tabasco aioli. . . ? Miso Soup (and a gorgeous whole fish that deserves its own post!) . . ? Rollins no. 2: Crab Salad, asparagus, topped with salmon sashimi, housemade tartar sauce and balsamic teriyaki sauce. . . ? Ahi Tuna & Mango Salad . . ? Catch of the Day: Cobia with vegetable stir fry . . ? Mango Panna Cotta and Matcha Tiramisu, paired with Ware’s Port Tawny Optima . . Address: 565 West Fairbanks Avenue Winter Park, FL 32789

7. STK

STK is located in Disney Springs and defines the modern fine dining experience with incredible food, world-class service, and the perfect atmosphere. It has been suggested to try their Shaved Brussel Sprouts and Orange Dream Cheesecake.
