One of Major League Baseball’s most prolific outfielders just paid $4.65 million for The New American Home 2017 by Phil Kean Design Group located in Lake Nona Golf & Country Club.The 2017 New American Home sits within walking distance of the award-winning Lake Nona Golf Course.

The single-story home features five bedrooms and 7.5 baths, with 12,000 square feet of habitable area. Designed to have a net-zero energy balance, it’s the first North American home to have Tesla solar backup batteries, and was NGBS Emerald certified and LEED Gold certified.

Carlos E. Gonzalez and wife Indonesia Gonzalez, both natives of Venezuela purchase the home on March 1st. Carlos is a 10-year veteran Major League Baseball player, spending nearly all of that time with the Colorado Rockies as a prolific outfielder. Gonzalez was a three-time All-Star, former National League batting champion, two-time Silver Slugger Award winner and a three-time Gold Glove Award winner. 

2017 New American Home includes a four-car garage, two outdoor summer kitchens, a spa with steam room, rooftop balcony, solar panels and tankless water heaters, five-hole putting green and game room with golf simulator, wine room and bar, and guest apartment.
