Orlando Business Journal reports that billionaire Joe Lewis, the visionary investor, and developer of Lake Nona and the Tavistock Group, has proposed a potential $10 million investment into a new OMA to move it to Lake Nona. But only if the Orlando Museum of Art can raise an additional $30 million in funds for the $40 million building in Lake Nona.

OMA approached Tavistock about the idea of possibility relocating within Lake Nona after 3 years searching for a viabile location for the museum.

“All great cities have great art museums and we are working in that direction. But relationally, what is around the museum is important,” Gentele said at the time.
