Exciting news for local foodies and health-conscious shoppers—Sprouts Farmers Market is officially coming to our side of town! The popular grocery chain known for its fresh, natural, and organic offerings will be the anchor tenant in a new retail development just east of Narcoossee Road, further expanding the growing footprint of convenient, community-centered shopping in Lake Nona.

The upcoming project, submitted by VHB on behalf of Emerson International, outlines plans for five new buildings totaling over 81,000 square feet of mixed-use space—including restaurants, retail shops, and office space—on eight currently vacant acres at 9776 Eagle Creek Center Blvd. The highlight of the development? A brand-new, 23,299-square-foot Sprouts Farmers Market at the southern end of the site.

This new retail destination will be part of the latest phase of the Eagle Creek Planned Development (PD). Emerson International has already delivered eight adjacent commercial buildings along Narcoossee Road, bringing popular spots like Smoothie King, Restore Hyper Wellness, Centennial Bank, Meat Wonderfood Lake Nona, Curious Cork Wine & Provisions, Mavis Tires & Brakes, Sunshine Oil Stop, and CFS Coffee For The Soul to the area. Construction on those spaces began in 2019 and wrapped up in 2023.

For Sprouts, this marks another big step in expanding their footprint in Central Florida. The brand recently celebrated a grand opening in Poinciana, making it their seventh location in the Orlando area, with additional stores in Oviedo, Winter Park, Apopka, Colonial Plaza, Dr. Phillips, and Waterford Lakes. They also operate two locations in Melbourne, including one that opened in March, and have another store planned for Clermont.

Headquartered in Phoenix, Sprouts operates over 440 stores across 24 states, including 55 in Florida alone. They’ve built a strong reputation as one of the nation’s fastest-growing specialty grocers, offering a wide selection of fresh produce, natural groceries, and wholesome living essentials.

And this isn’t the only big retail move happening in the area—Tavistock Development Company recently announced that a 150,000-square-foot Target will anchor the upcoming Lake Nona West shopping center currently under construction on Lake Nona Boulevard.
