A new Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriott hotel will open in Lake Nona this fall.
Tavistock Development Co., owner and developer of the dual-branded hotel in Lake Nona, is partnering with Raleigh, N.C.-based Concord Hospitality Enterprises Co. to manage daily operations for the 204-room property, which will be divided equally with 102 rooms in each hotel.
“As a proven industry leader with high standards of excellence and integrity, our partnership with Concord is a seamless fit to realize the project’s vision,” said Tavistock Development President Jim Zboril.
Once completed, the open-air shopping center will feature more than 1 million square feet of office and retail from high-end shops and department stores to restaurants and a variety of entertainment options.
New hotels create hundreds of temporary construction jobs, as well as hundreds of permanent jobs once open. They also provide a venue to bring more travelers to Central Florida, helping boost the $60 tourism billion industry.
