Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital originally announced that they would open a location in Lake Nona around a year ago. The 60-bed rehabilitation hospital was supposed to start in late 2021. Unfortunately, the Jacksonville-based company is no longer pursuing the Lake Nona location. When asked why, the company spokeswoman Jull Matejcek told the OBJ, “given the constant change of the environment,” they’re not moving forward.
